The research school aims to strengthen the current weak research connection in our teacher education programs in terms of research and knowledge about adult learning.

Partly by providing teacher education programs with research-educated staff with knowledge of adult learning in relation to two educational institutions aimed at adults - and for which teacher education programs have a responsibility to train teachers: municipal adult education (komvux) and folk high schools. Partly by contributing research-based practice-oriented knowledge about teachers' didactic work in these contexts.

The research school is a collaboration between Linköping University (host institute), the School of Education and Communication (through Encell) and Stockholm University. Funding is provided by the Swedish Research Council.
